How to Install Microsoft Outlook Plugin for organizations

The Zoom.ai Outlook Plugin allows you to quickly access your automated assistant and off-load tasks such as meeting scheduling - all without ever leaving your Outlook inbox.

Connect Tab

The default tab in the Zoom.ai plugin is the ‘Connect’ menu. Connect is context-aware and provides shortcuts to actions you can take in relation to the contact that sent the email you are currently viewing. Quickly look up information on the email sender, or schedule a meeting with them in seconds.

The Connect menu makes it easy to look up information on the email sender or schedule a specific meeting with them in seconds.

Actions Tab

The Actions tab gives you shortcuts for actions you can take related to other contacts or tasks that do not require a contact. This makes it easy to initiate a request for frequent tasks like asking when you are free or initiating a meeting (with those other than just the email sender).

  • What Meetings do I have today?
  • When am I free in the next 7 days?
  • What is the weather today?

Chat Tab

The Chat tab is where users talk to their assistant. They can do everything that they can do in a normal in-chat assistant experience. Pretty awesome, eh?!

  • All the shortcuts from the first two tabs redirect you here and start the request for you.
  • Users can refine or even start their request here.

Notifications: The Outlook Plugin can NOT receive in-chat notifications (e.g. Morning Briefing, Upcoming Meetings, etc) so instead these will be sent by email.

Help Tab

The Help tab provides easy access to frequently asked questions and product education. It’s a great place for a user to learn how to ask their assistant to complete a common task. 

Accessing the Plugin

Once the plugin is installed, you can easily access it from their Outlook Inbox by clicking the Zoom.ai plugin button. Click again to close.

  • OnClick the plugin will open at right (desktop) or full (mobile)
  • The plugin button is also available from the Reply screen (below the reply box)
  • On Mobile (App) the plugin is available under the “…” menu

Pinning the Plugin

Once the plugin is open, you have the option to pin the plugin - so that it stays open even as you navigate from one email to another. You can pin/unpin the plugin at any time after installation.
